1月24日，中印两军在莫尔多/楚舒勒会晤点中方一侧举行第九轮军长级会谈。双方就中印边界西段实控线地区脱离接触问题坦诚深入交换意见。双方均认为本轮会谈积极务实且具有建设性，进一步增进了双方互信和相互理解。双方同意尽早推动一线部队脱离接触，同意遵照两国领导人重要共识，继续保持对话谈判势头，尽快举行第十轮军长级会谈，共同努力推动降温缓局。双方同意继续采取有效措施，确保一线部队保持克制，稳控西段边境实控线地区的局势，共同维护和平与安宁。

　　On January 24, the 9th round of China-India Corps Commander LevelMeeting was held on the Chinese side of the Moldo-Chushul border meeting point.The two sides had a candid and in-depth exchange of views on disengagementalong the Line of Actual Control in the Western Sector of China-India borderareas. The two sides agreed that this round of meeting was positive, practicaland constructive, which further enhanced mutual trust and understanding. Thetwo sides agreed to push for an early disengagement of the frontline troops.They also agreed to follow the important consensus of their state leaders,maintain the good momentum of dialogue and negotiation, and hold the 10th roundof the Corps Commander Level Meeting at an early date to jointly advancede-escalation. The two sides agreed to continue their effective efforts inensuring the restraint of the frontline troops, stabilize and control thesituation along the LAC in the Western Sector of the China-India border, andjointly maintain peace and tranquility.
